Rangers have confirmed the loan signing of Aaron Ramsey from Juventus until the end of the season.
Ramsey has been out of the first-team picture at Juve for some time, with injuries and shaky form characterising his time in Turin.
Rumours about his future have been swirling for some time and Rangers have finally won the race for his signature, announcing his arrival on their official website.
“I am really pleased to be joining a club like Rangers, where there is so much to look forward to between now and May,” Ramsey told the club’s official website. “I had a number of offers on the table, but none matched the magnitude of this club, with European football and the chance to play in front of 50,000 fans every other week.
“I have had some fantastic conversations with the manager and Ross Wilson, and I’m really looking forward to working with both of them, and to meeting the supporters.”
Ramsey was also the subject of a deadline-day bid from Wolves, while Burnley, Leeds and Crystal Palace also showed interest.
Instead, Ramsey has opted to join Rangers and his loan deal also includes an option to make the move permanent in the summer. The Welshman’s arrival is a big boost for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side, who are currently top of the Scottish Premiership by just two points.
