The organizers of the Nagoya Women’s Marathon have announced that they will increase the prize fund for the March 13, 2022 edition. The winner of the prestigious Elite Platinum Label World Athletics Series will receive a cash prize of $ 250,000. This is the largest prize pool for the marathon.

This year’s edition of the Nagoya Marathon , which took place on March 14, was won by Japanese Mizuki Matsuda with a time of 2:21:51. In 2020, the victory was also for a representative of the hosts – Mao Ichiyama, who finished in 2:20:29. She finished eighth at the Olympic marathon this year.
