Reducing physical activity and staying home during a pandemic has led to weight gain; 37% of Romanians gained weight (Huawei and IPSOS study)

The pandemic had and still has many negative effects, and today we discover on account of a study conducted by Huawei Consumer BG and IPSOS what happened while the Romanians worked from home. The results of the survey show that 63% of respondents in the 10 countries feel the need to improve their physical health. 36% intend to lose weight and 35% plan to buy an electronic device (smartphone or smartwatch) to help them in this endeavor. In the case of Romanians, 40% want to do more sports, 42% want to start a completely new sports activity. Among Romanian respondents, 64% believe that gadgets and new applications can improve their quality of life, and a smartwatch or smart bracelet would be useful in achieving these goals .
