We all have done many things to get over exes but have you ever rented a girlfriend and then deliberately gave her a bad rating? Sounds petty and unreasonable, right? Well, I suggest you do not jump to conclusions before watching Rent-A-Girlfriend.
As fun as the anime is with all the different elements like a love triangle, harem, comedy, and more, it melts your heart too at times. Those tender scenes between Kazuya and Chizuru, where the two are about to confess, were all season 1 was about.
But the fans can’t wait till the pair starts dating for real, so the franchise has some excellent news for us.
Rent-A-Girlfriend anime has been green-lit for a second season scheduled to premiere in July 2022.

Being a harem rom-com, the teaser starts with the anime’s main female characters, i.e., Kazuya’s love interests, calling out his name endearingly. After that, a distressed Kazuya is shown trying to figure out the various romantic affairs he’s involved in.
We also get a glimpse of some sad scenes where we see Chizuru crying, and we can guess the reason is her feelings for Kazuya.
Also, Chizuru is ambitious and career-oriented so falling for Kazuya is something she might fear as it may hold her back from her dreams at some point.
A new visual featuring the four girls, Chizuru, Mami, Ruka, and Sumi, was also revealed.
