Throughout the State, the Executive Branch will invest more than R$300 million through “Tchau Poeira”. The works have already started in Ariquemes, Pimenta Bueno, São Miguel do Guaporé and Rolim de Moura.

Resident of Espigão do Oeste 50 years ago, retired Adenal Lauros watched the launch of the project and celebrated this great achievement for his municipality. “For the city and the population it will be very good! It will put an end to the dust that litters everything. Espigão is already a beautiful city and with asphalt it will be even more beautiful. We are all happy and for that I congratulate the State Government.”

Seu Adenal made a point of remembering what Espigão do Oeste was like when he arrived in the city in 1971. “There was only one open street. Downtown was full of crops. The first little field to play ball, I helped build on the base of the hoe. Therefore, seeing all this evolution and seeing good things coming to Espigão, makes us satisfied and happy.”

Por In the middle of “Bye Poeira”, as highlighted by Governor Marcos Rocha, the State Executive seeks to develop the road network in the municipalities, bringing more safety and quality of life to the population.

“In Espigão there will be four kilometers of asphalt on streets that have never been paved before and seven kilometers of resurfacing on roads pavements that are deteriorating and need to be maintained. The city hall presented the project, according to the municipality’s needs, and we directed the resource. This is how it is happening in other municipalities in Rondônia”, said Marcos Rocha.

In addition to launching “Tchau Poeira”, the governor highlighted other actions and investments of the State Government in benefit of Espigão do Oeste. “We have the paving of RO-133, the Calcário Highway, which we will initially cover 30 kilometers and the bridge over the Ribeirão River; an investment of approximately R$7 million. A two-way bridge, 50 meters long. This is development for Espigão do Oeste and the entire region”, guaranteed the governor.

Also honoring the release of “Tchau Poeira” at the weekend, was retired Vera Lúcia Ferreira, who has lived in Espigão for 44 years. For her, the project brings several benefits. “It’s a very good thing! For people who live on the streets that will be paved, it changes a lot. Even for health reasons, it avoids respiratory problems due to dust. So I’m very happy with this initiative by the Government of Rondônia.”

*) The director general of the State Department of Highways (DER), Elias Resende, highlighted another important action by the Government of Rondônia in the region, the maintenance of the Pacarana Highway. “This government is serious and committed to the population of Rondônia. I thank the DER servers who are working on RO-387, Estrada do Pacarana. Something that has never been done on that highway, this Government is doing. An example is three bridges that are being replaced by armcos tubes.”

Rezende also explained that the services on RO-387 also include patrolling, gravelling, cleaning, execution of stormwater outlets and the replacement of damaged concrete shackles.
