The Smolyan village of Arda is in a panic because of attacks by a bear that is moving within the village, worried locals claim, quoted by BTA. The last attack was tonight in a barn in the village. “We insist that a state of emergency be declared in Arda and that a permit be issued for the shooting of the bear,” said Hari Tyutyunarov, one of the injured owners of livestock farms in the village. The predator attacks a barn in Arda every night for the last three days, and in two weeks the occurrence is more than 10 times within the settlement, people from the border village explain. A resident of the village says that a bear killed three of his sheep that night. The RIEW confirmed that this is a series of attacks in the area of ​​Arda and a procedure has already been initiated before the Ministry of Agriculture with a request to shoot the problem bear.

He also announced that 72-hour tests were made on September 3, and if all documents on the repair of Studena Dam are in order, it will be put into operation. He reminded that the construction activities started in 2012, due to which the water supply in the region was problematic, but assured that “soon” this problem will find its solution.
