The Smolyan village of Arda is in a panic because of attacks by a bear that is moving within the village, worried locals claim, quoted by BTA. The last attack was tonight in a barn in the village. “We insist that a state of emergency be declared in Arda and that a permit be issued for the shooting of the bear,” said Hari Tyutyunarov, one of the injured owners of livestock farms in the village. The predator attacks a barn in Arda every night for the last three days, and in two weeks the occurrence is more than 10 times within the settlement, people from the border village explain. A resident of the village says that a bear killed three of his sheep that night. The RIEW confirmed that this is a series of attacks in the area of Arda and a procedure has already been initiated before the Ministry of Agriculture with a request to shoot the problem bear.

He reminded that the construction activities started in 2012, due to which the water supply in the region was problematic, but assured that “soon” this problem will find its solution.

Those enumerated in Sofia are 919,945 people, or 70.31% of the population of the capital, in Varna they are 263,522 people, or 77.16%, and in Plovdiv, respectively 246,858 people, or 72.17% of the people in the municipality. The census will continue until 8 pm on October 10. Until the end of the statistical survey, the 20 support centers that the citizens can visit to count themselves will continue their work, and the enumerators will receive help and answers to questions that have arisen during their work.
