Retail sales volume increased by 16.3%

Retail sales volume increased by 16.3 percent year on year in November.

Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), November 2021 announced the data on retail sales indices. Accordingly, retail sales volume increased by 16.3 percent year on year. Retail sales volume at constant prices (2015=100) increased by 16.3 percent in November 2021 compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 8.8 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 25.7 percent, and automotive fuel sales by 1.0 percent.

Retail sales volume monthly increased by 1.3 percent. Retail sales volume at constant prices increased by 1.3 percent in November compared to the previous month. In the same month, food, beverage and tobacco sales increased by 1.7 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 2.3 percent, while automotive fuel sales decreased by 2.2 percent.

Retail turnover increased by 45.5 percent year on year. Retail turnover at current prices increased by 45.5 percent in November compared to the same month of the previous year. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 35.7 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 50.4%, and automotive fuel sales by 46.9 percent.

Retail turnover monthly percent increased by 6.1. Retail turnover at current prices increased by 6.1 percent in November compared to the previous month. In the same month, sales of food, beverages and tobacco increased by 4.3 percent, non-food sales (excluding automotive fuel) by 6.6 percent, and automotive fuel sales by 7.7 percent.
