He’s 83, but filmmaker Ridley Scott ain’t slowing down one bit.
Scott has two films completed and ready for release in the next few months with “House of Gucci” and “The Last Duel”. His next feature to shoot is his Napoleon historical epic “Kitbag” starring Joaquin Phoenix and Jodie Comer.
That’s not all though as in a new interview with Empire, he says the decades in the works sequel to his 2000 Oscar-winner “Gladiator” looks to be finally happening. Scott tells the outlet: “I’m already having ‘Gladiator’ written now. So when I’ve done [‘Kitbag’], ‘Gladiator’ will be ready to go.”
How the film will tie in with Crowe’s slain Maximus Decimus Meridius is not clear, but for the first time in a long time it seems the project is more than just a ‘pie in the sky’ style idea and may actually make it into production in the near future.
