RIP Satish Kaushik: Richa Chadha and Ali Fazal ‘gutted’ by actor’s death

By Roktim Rajpal: Actor Satish Kaushik passed away today, March 9, leaving his fans and well-wishers heartbroken. He celebrated Holi with his friends from the industry on March 7.

Ali Fazal and Richa Chadha have now taken to social media to mourn his demise,

They had met him during a Holi bash and posed for happy photos. Satish Kaushik was known for his work in films such as Mr India and Deewana Mastana.

Ali Fazal penned an emotional note for Satish Kaushik, who passed away on March 9. The Mirzapur actor said that he was ‘gutted’ by his death and recalled that he celebrated Holi with him a day before his demise.

“Just Daybefore i met you, we played holi.. we broke bread. Now you are gone. Just like that. Too soon . This wasn’t your time sir. I dont want to say Rest, your spirit was way too evolved and infectious. It will stay with us forever. I am just sorry and gutted for the people you leave behind who have loved you so dearly. Your friends and most of all your family,(sic)” he wrote on Instagram.

ABOUT SATISH KAUSHIK

Satish Kaushik was an Indian actor, comedian, screenwriter, director and producer. He was born on April 13, 1956, in Haryana.

He acted in theatres before finding his break in Bollywood. As a film actor, Satish Kaushik was known for his roles as Calendar in the 1987 superhero film, Mr India, as Pappu Pager in Deewana Mastana (1997), and as Chanu Ahmed in the British film Brick Lane (2007), directed by Sarah Gavron.
