A week ago the value was 7211 infections.
The 7-day incidence in Germany rose slightly for the fourth day in a row. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the value of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Saturday morning at 64.4. For comparison: the previous day the value was 64.3, a week ago it was 60.6 (previous month: 76.9).
RKI: 66 more deaths
Germany-wide, according to the new information, within 66 deaths recorded 24 hours. A week ago there were 62 deaths. The RKI has counted 4,246,136 detected infections with Sars-CoV-2 since the beginning of the pandemic. The actual total number is likely to be significantly higher, as many infections are not recognized.
The number of corona patients admitted to clinics per 100,000 inhabitants within seven days – the most important parameter for a possible tightening of the corona restrictions – the RKI last stated on Friday at 1.65. The comparative value of the previous week is slightly lower.
A nationwide threshold value, from when the situation can be viewed critically, is not provided for the hospitalization incidence due to large regional differences, among other things. The previous maximum value was around 15.5 around Christmas time.
The RKI stated the number of people recovered at 4,018,500. The number of people who died with or with a proven infection with Sars-CoV-2 rose to 93,777.
