Sainsbury’s chic matching PJ sets are trending on Tiktok as fans call them ‘a vibe’

You can always count on TikTok to spot – or create – a trend, and one of the latest brands to be getting the viral TikTok treatment is Tu at Sainsbury’s. Or more specifically, it’s pyjama range.

The supermarket fashion brand has already had several trending moments this year thanks to its adorable heart-print PJs that sold out before Valentine’s Day even rolled around, and now it seems TU’s PJs are becoming the stuff of legend, as TikTok goes wild for it’s latest range of sets. From spring-ready to florals to pastel-toned stripes, there are all sorts of different prints and patterns available, some of which even come with their own matching scrunchie, like this Pink Gingham Traditional Pyjama Set, £20 here.

One TikTok video shared by user LucyMWarren has already accrued thousands of likes and views as she captioned it: “Sainsbury’s pjs are always winning”, posting a slideshow of snaps of different TU fashion pieces that have just launched. Amongst the slides were some fab matching pyjama sets including the pink gingham pair, as well as these spring-appropriate Yellow Stripe Traditional Pyjamas, £20 here, which include a matching short sleeved shirt and trousers in pastel yellow and pink stripes.

Miranda Priestly might have turned her nose up at the idea of florals for spring, but we can’t get enough of them, especially these Floral Stripe Traditional Pyjamas, £20 here. The set has a dainty flower pattern across it with a coordinating short sleeved top and trousers with an elasticated tie waist, and are made from 100% cotton that’ll keep you comfortable and cool all night.

Lucy’s round up of TU’s sleepwear also included several pairs with a bold, abstract print, like the Abstract Bright Stripe Traditional Pyjamas, £20 here, and the Bright Floral Print Traditional Pyjamas, £18 here, as well as this pair of Bright Stripe Cotton Traditional Pyjamas, £18 here, which have a classic stripe print in bold spring time colours that make them a must-have for the season. Viewers flooded the comments with praise for the colourful sets, saying: “Getting older is realising that TU is such a vibe” to which Lucy replied: “Going in for my weekly shop and coming out spending £80 on pjs.”

Another person wrote: “Bought the pj’s for me and my step daughter from the 17th slide and I can confirm they’re amazing!” Whilst a third said: “STOP TELLING THE SECERET.”

The cat may be out of the bag when it comes to Sainsbury’s sleepwear, but there’s always room for some extra pjs in your drawers. If you want to splurge on something a little more luxurious to sleep in, X Intima’s range of satin pyjamas are just as good for lounging at home in as they are for wearing with heels for an event, and we particularly love the Feather-Trimmed Satin Pyjama Set, £116.66 here (was £179.35), that’s sure to become a firm favourite in our nightwear (and evening and daytime) wardrobe.

If you prefer to mix and match your sets, Marks and Spencer has a great selection of interchangeable pieces that can be worn together to suit the weather, like this Floral Print Pyjama Top, £15 here, which can be paired with the long Floral Pyjama Bottoms, £10 here , for cooler nights or with the matching Floral Print Pyjama Shorts, also £10 here, when the temperature starts to rise. For summer, you can swap the long sleeve shirt for the Floral Cami Top, £10 here, for a cooler, breezy bedtime ensemble. Bed time never looked so good.
