The end of September was marked by probably the last event in which we physically participated this year, this regarding the current situation that seems to push us towards a lockdown and a ban on public meetings of this type. Last night on September 29, I participated in an event organized by Samsung Romania in Bucharest at the MARE Museum / Museum of Recent Art where I saw in action the lifestyle TVs The Sero and The Terrace .
These TVs have been present on the global market for some time, including in Romania, so yesterday’s event was one that would mark the availability of products in our country as well. Samsung was represented on the spot and informed us about what these TVs deliver, what are the key points and what stands out.
The star TV, the one that attracted the most participants in its proximity was Samsung The Sero – the rotary screen TV that offers content in vertical format. It comes with a diagonal of 108 cm, QLED panel, 4K Ultra HD resolution and surprises through the 4.1 audio system with a power of 60W, a sound test being performed on the spot. The TV has a dedicated stand and can rotate its screen at the touch of a button on the remote control, displaying images vertically or horizontally.
Is a TV for young consumers of TikTok, Instagram who want to see the content on the phone on a larger diagonal, a device with a focus on social media. You can quickly connect to the phone via WiFi and when you rotate the phone and the TV screen will rotate, displaying the fixed content as you wish. There is also TapView and AirPlay 2 function, as well as various ways in which the TV becomes a photo frame, lockscreen displaying the time or posters.
There are many scenarios and if you have a Galaxy Note or S21 Ultra smartphone, Z Fold 3 with stylus, you can work on drawings and sketches using the phone screen and TV to see in more detail the work created.
Samsung The Terrace was the other TV displayed on the spot, a model that, as its name implies, is created for outdoor use on the terrace. Here we have several diagonals (138 cm, 163 cm, 189 cm), but also a higher price, the TV being protected in IP55 mode (resistant to water and dust), as well as at extreme temperatures (-30 degrees Celsius, 50 degrees Celsius). It has an easel stand and comes with a 4K QLED panel, 20W acoustics and Tizen OS.
Of the two, I especially liked The Sero, a TV that will make a sensation in any living room and a TV for vertical consumption. I found out on the spot that there is no lifetime / rotation limit that the product has. I also found out about a situation in a showroom where someone wanted to manually rotate the TV screen, something that can only be done once apparently, after which you risk ruining the mechanism.
The TVs are available locally at the following prices:
