SCANDAL! interview with Dragan Mirkovic !!!

After the spectacular New Year’s Eve performance on Zlatibor in the Pjević event center Dragana Mirković summarizes impressions and only for readers SCANDALA! reveals all his private and business plans for 2022! Apart from Dragana, Dejan Petrović and his Big Band performed on a crazy night on Zlatibor, and Dragana says that she is overjoyed and that the meeting with the audience gave her strength for the impossible!

– It was great at the reception, really. During the previous one, I hung out with the audience less than usual, so I wanted to perform. Everything was great organized, the mood was fantastic! This was one of the most beautiful receptions in terms of atmosphere.

What did you want at midnight?

– First of all, let this madness pass as soon as possible and let us all return to normal life as it was only two years ago. Then, I wished my family and myself, but also all people good health. If we have that, everything else is an individual thing after that.

“The year behind us was too difficult, Marina left us , Marinko, Tozovac, Merima… It is very difficult for me because of that! ”

When you summarize the previous year, what are your impressions?

– I will remember it as one of the most difficult in my life so far. First of all, a large number of dear people left us in 2021. I had a hard time with the deaths of Marina Tucaković, Marinko Rokvić, Tozovac, Milutin Mrkonjić, Đorđe Balašević, Merime Njegomir … I can’t even count them all, it’s horrible that so many artists left in such a short period of time. But even last year, as if we were just listening to bad news, we were constantly reported from all the media about the number of deceased and sick. Measures due to the coronavirus blocked the entire planet, we could neither move nor see dear people. All this reflected on people, so they became even more scared, more nervous… For me, the year itself, with the fact that all my loved ones are alive and well, is in a way good. I also managed, when it was allowed, to return to socializing with the audience. But it cannot be good for me if many around me suffer or suffer. All in all, I hope and believe that the period ahead will be better. It is a belief that holds me and gives me the strength to continue.

The crown still lasts, does it affect your work , do you have performances as usual?

– None At the moment, I did not think of this as a financial and business challenge, but as a life challenge. We have lost a lot of people, the whole world has been standing for more than a year, the movement of all people is limited, children do not go to regular classes and lose part of their normal upbringing… These are serious problems. And we singers, as always, share our destiny with the people we sing for. Of course, there was less work, but there was still more than in 2020, when everything stopped for eight months.

You are as close with Brena as you used to be, it seems you seem to see each other more often than when you met by chance on vacation in Monte Carlo. Have you been practicing regularly since

– Brenino and my friendship and closeness were never conditioned by how much we see each other, but by the emotion we have for each other. We are both mature enough to know that true friends don’t always have to be there, but they are with you when you really need it. It’s the same with the two of us. We don’t hang out all the time, we hear each other occasionally, even many have tried to quarrel with us with various stories and subterfuges. This has happened several times in all the time we know. However, they did not succeed in that.

How was on the recording of the New Year’s program of your television, that all colleagues responded to the invitation?

– It wasn’t until we all got together on set that we realized how much we missed each other. That emotion, those conversations we had, laughter, and even some tears because of the ones we lost, that is my basic impression from the recording of the New Year’s program. The only thing I was sorry about was that Tony and the children couldn’t be with me due to obligations, but he surprised me and sent me a beautiful basket of candles with the message I love you like the first day. He made me cry.

Do you follow “Zvezde Granda” ?

– When I have time, I watch a show. Honestly, I watch the television program very poorly, I don’t even get to see the shows in which I participated, but the fans send me clips with the most interesting moments, so I stay up to date with my career. (laughter)

How do you like the jury in the new composition?

– It seems to me that they fit in nicely, that they found some story of their own and that it attracts the viewers’ attention. And that is the most important thing. I am sorry that Jelena Karleuša is not there because she contributed with her energy to make this show extremely attractive. But, if both she and the production are satisfied with the new arrangements, my opinion is irrelevant .

Would you accept Popovic’s invitation that you will you be part of the jury team?

– I was already in the music competitions in the jury in Pink Stars, but there the concept was somewhat different. It seems to me that in Zvezde Granda, the emphasis is on the jury and their conflicts, and I am not interesting in that sense, because I avoid quarrels of any kind. So I don’t see that I would fit in.

Your children are already adults and mature, are they aware of how much of a star you are?

) – Now they are, because they have witnessed the reaction of the audience on several occasions, but also of young colleagues when we meet. When they were younger, it was not clear to them because for them I was always the mother they saw in the house. The point is that I am still the same, I am still their parent first, but they have changed, they have grown up, matured and now they look at the whole story about my career differently.

Neither Marko nor Manuela like to expose themselves, are you sorry about that?

– Not that I’m not sorry, but I’m happy about it. They have had the opportunity several times to see me cry because of some injustices I have experienced, and which dealing with this business necessarily brings. Partly because of that, and partly because of their character, they decided that they did not want to go through that and they even asked me to leave them out of public events in the future. I still respect that today.

Is there any of the two talents for music?

– Both . Manuela sings fantastically, if she wanted she could do opera. But they don’t have those ambitions.

You are preparing a spectacle in Usce, have the preparations started? It is said that it will be a spectacle on a world level, what did you come up with?

Every now and then we read in the media that many celebrities owe for cars, what is the real truth?

– I am glad that you asked me that, because it is high time I put an end to various speculations. The truth is the following. Tony has been the owner of the Maybach Coupe factory for a long time. That introduced him, but also our whole family, to the world of the car industry, and as such we know many people who are engaged in the production and sale of four-wheelers. One of them is our friends from Germany, who sell luxury cars, mostly Mercedes. Since it is no secret that we know each other, my colleagues from the stage often approached me and asked me to connect them in order to get the best possible conditions when shopping. Both Tony and I were happy to do that, and that is why today we have a situation where many people from the public scene drive cars with license plates that start with DON, in the region within Germany where they are located. That’s the whole truth. We only mediated in the desire to help, and we do not sell those cars, much less someone owes us money for them. )

Rada Manojlović says that you plan to record a duet, did you find the song?

– I saw Rada while she was competing in the Grand Stars and I immediately liked her, and then we met on one shoot. What I thought at first and what I think now is that she is a talented, hard-working, beautiful and smart girl, who has never forgotten who she is and where she is from, which makes her even more a respectable young person. We have been talking about a joint song for years, but no adequate composition has appeared. I hope that in the year ahead that will change.

Are you in contact with Jelena Karleusa?

– Of course I am,

Jelena has been my friend for many years

, not to mention decades, people will think that we are a hundred years old. (laughter) She went through a difficult period in her life when she lost her mother and I am glad that she found the strength to continue and live for her two beautiful girls the way Divna lived for her and for her.

At the end of last year, Marinko Rokvić and Merima Njegomir left us, Marina Tucakovic passed away before them. Are there young people on the stage who have the credibility to repeat such careers?

– Every career is specific, because it is created in a certain period, under special circumstances, and it implies an artist who is specific and unique in some way. So it is impossible to repeat anyone and anyone’s career, and you don’t even need that. These people you mentioned built their name on a completely different market, at a time when we lived in a country of 23 million people and when there was only one television channel and a few radio stations. But, that is why now, thanks to the Internet and social networks, the whole world is a market, so it is not excluded that some of the young and talented people from this area will have a worldwide career.

Who do you like from younger colleagues, whose songs you listen to?

– I love Rada Manojlović, I promoted Tanja Savić, Voyage and Peach on DM watch television even when they started playing music, I recorded a duet with Vuk Mob… There are many more The ones I love, but I wouldn’t list, I’ll forget someone .

Did you record a duet with Lucas? What are your impressions from the recording?

– What will to be impressed with a man like Lucas? He is a great artist, a big star, but also an extremely funny man, so the whole shooting took place in laughter and a nice atmosphere.

How did you two work together?

– It’s been five years since we met at recordings and concerts, as Aca warned me: It’s really time for us to record a duet. Of course, I agreed, but all this time, no adequate song appeared. And then one day Sasa Mirkovic called me and sent me this phenomenal song, so it was all over literally for the day. I am glad that the audience supported it and that the song met with fantastic reactions.

And finally, what would you wish to the readers SCANDALA! in 2022?

– I would like to wish them good health and that we return to normal life as soon as possible. I would also like them to continue reading you next year, but to have as few death stories as possible and as many new loves as possible.
