The release of the fifth film in the Scream franchise takes place this week and to make fans even more anxious, Paramount Pictures has just released the final trailer for the film, showing that the new killer who wears the Ghostface suit is more ruthless than ever.
In the video, we can see Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) returning once again to his home in Woodsboro, where it all began. As we can see, the new killer has studied very well everything that Sidney has lived through in the four previous films and is making his victims go through similar situations before being murdered, including even the death in the garage when the girl goes to get a drink.
The new trailer also highlights the returns of journalist Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) and police officer Dewey Riley (David Arquette), who, like Sidney, have been part of the saga since the beginning.
The The cast of the new film also includes Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sonia Ammar, Melissa Barrera, Dylan Minnette, Kyle Gallner, Mason Gooding, Jenna Ortega, Jack Quaid, Marley Shelton and Mikey Madison.

One of the most beloved horror franchises of all time will be getting a new chapter soon. Scream won its last movie in 2011 and now, just a few weeks away from another sequel, Paramount released posters for Scream 5 this Friday (3) during the CCXP Worlds 2021 event.

They feature familiar faces from fans: Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell), Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox) and Dewey Riley (David Arquette) ), the trio of main protagonists of the saga. New faces will also appear in Scream 5, such as Richie (Jack Quaid), Sam (Melissa Barrera), Vince (Kyle Gallner), Chad (Mason Gooding) and Wes (Dylan Minnette).
The captions of the promotional material reinforce that someone who knows the city’s past well will wear the mask and spread terror through a new killing. The slogan that the killer is always a character known to the protagonists emphasizes this more.

The film will take place 25 years after the first murder in the small town of Woodsboro, California, where a mysterious psychopath will decide to continue the legacy of Ghostface and lead the original trio of protagonists to try to stop it.
Scream 5 opens in theaters today January 14, 2022.
