“My celebrity crush? Don’t judge me – there is a certain rapper in Mbogi Genje, Smady Tings,” said Awinja, upon which Obinna laughed.
“You are laughing at my crush?” she posed.
Obinna noted that he was not laughing at her choice, only that it was unexpected.
Renowned for their 2019 hit Ngumi Mbwegze, Mbogi Genje, the self-styled ‘Sheng Masters’ continue to run Gengetone with their massive yearly hits including Kidungi, Kuja Mbaya, Wamocho, Kamkoba and Ikijipa, among others.
How many guys has Awinja dated?
During an interview with Massawe Japanni in 2022, Awinja said she had not dated many men.
“I have only dated three men in my life. I think I need to explore. I have a friend whose body count can be lined up from here to Kakamega.”
Awinja admitted she had been in a long-term relationship and was happy.
The actress also opened up about her past relationships and narrated her experience with a toxic ex whom she said broke her heart at an early age.
Awinja said the man dampened her self-esteem, making her realise she did not know her worth.
When asked to name the man, she declined but gave fans a hint of who the person might be.
“Just leave the name out of it. There’s no need.”
When she was asked if she was planning on holding a wedding anytime soon, she said:
“We decided to do things in reverse. I am in no hurry, and in fact, I prefer this.”
