Sensibointegrates OpenAI’s ChatGPT into Smart HVAC

I will feel is a company that specialises in IoT solutions, combining smart ACs with a more sustainable world. This week, they announced the integration of OpenAI’s ChatGPT into all smart AC products.

Since being released in late 2022 by OpenAI, ChatGPT has taken the world by storm, accelerating an AI revolution. While Artificial Intelligence has been around for a long time, it was the consumer-facing simplicity of feeding a query to the ChatGPT model and getting intelligent answers from the model trained on billions of data points from across the web, that really made it compelling. ChatGPT uses an advanced large language model (LLM) which now has competition from Facebook, Google and others.

For the first stage of integration, the Sensibo mobile app will suggest recommendations based on the user’s behaviour patterns. An example of this is an automated AC schedule based on custom behaviour of the user and Climate React personal recommendations.

Sensibo is able to grant recommendations for AC usage, based on the actual custom behaviour of the user, optimising usage, and reducing energy consumption, emissions and cost.

Smart Scheduling will recommend the user sets a custom schedule for each controller such as turning on the AC in the living room automatically every evening at 5 pm and turning it off at 9:15 pm (after learning the user’s habits and preferences).

Another example is Climate React: ChatGPT could recommend turning on the AC automatically when the humidity in the bedroom reaches 70%, noticing that the AC is always turned on at that point.

This strategic integration, leveraging the power of advanced AI, promises to augment user experience and boost energy efficiency, marking a notable stride towards sustainable living.

Sensibo’s smart HVAC & indoor air quality monitoring products allow users to control their ACs and Heat Pumps by utilizing AI, data and sensors.

Inefficient, “dumb” AC and heat pump units draw a sizable amount of energy In an era where heating and cooling devices constitute a considerable 33% of global energy consumption and are a significant contributor to CO2 emissions.

With the integration of AI, Sensibo’s technology could potentially facilitate savings of over 40% on energy bills by enhancing AC performance.

Open AI’s ChatGPT is influencing the world and we found it suitable that all of Sensibo’s customers will enjoy its benefits as well. This step is a major leap in our commitment to bringing progressive solutions to our customers:

The integration of ChatGPT into Sensibo will enable our users to integrate their existing usage habits seamlessly.

Omer Enbar, COO and Co-Founder of Sensibo

ChatGPT is allowing us to enable more interaction between the users and their smart ACs and Heat Pumps, thus providing more control over their home’s climate. The AI-generated outputs will also be optimized for comfort using data from more than 1.2 million HVAC actions a day, ensuring maximum energy savings for users.

This is a significant milestone in Sensibo’s mission to create the world’s smartest indoor climate systems.
