At least six people were killed when a fire broke out at a Spanish nursing home late on January 18. The fire, in Moncada, a suburb of Valencia, began around 11:20 pm and was extinguished by 2:15 am, fire officials said. More than 70 people were evacuated from the building by emergency response crews, they said. According to a translation of a statement they released, “Firefighters rescued about 25 residents from inside the facility, some of whom were later taken care of by paramedics.” This footage was sent to Storyful by Valencia Provincial Fire Consortium, and shows firefighters at the scene.
