The storm, currently moving eastward at a pace of 30 miles per hour, has been producing quarter-sized hail and damaging wind gusts of up to 60 mph, posing a significant threat to the local residents and properties in its path.
Residents are being urged to seek shelter immediately, preferably indoors on the ground floor of a sturdy building, and to avoid windows during the storm’s passage.
The National Weather Service advises residents in the warned areas to take the necessary precautions and stay tuned to local weather updates as the storm progresses.
