Shakira was attacked and robbed by a pair of wild boar while walking in a Barcelona park.
The remarkable story unfurled on Instagram, with the Colombian singer giving fans a series of updates.
Shakira was walking in a Barcelona park with her eight year son when the incident occurred; two animals attacked her, seized her bag, and then ran into the nearby woods.
Surreal? Yep. And also – seemingly – true, with Shakira detailing her account online.
“Look at how two wild boar which attacked me in the park have left my bag,” she said. “They were taking my bag to the woods with my mobile phone in it. They’ve destroyed everything.”
The incident could have been worse, with Shakira actually fighting with the wild boar before they retreated.
Turning to her son in an IG story, Shakira said: “Milan tell the truth. Say how your mummy stood up to the wild boar.”
The wild boar could not be found for comment.
