Romana has been creating for children for over thirty years. Her Huda mravljica, Račke, Murenčke, Tubo Lubo, Zajček Zlatko and others are always sung by new generations of children. The singer started her career in the ensembles Sibila, 12th floor and Rž, then went into children’s waters, in the meantime at a certain period (when her sons grew up, she explains) she devoted herself more to singing chansons and music poetry, but again found new impetus for creation for children when she first became a grandmother three years ago.

»Granddaughter Elora Sofia and Rosa Lia gave me new energy, aroused new emotions, brought a special love, tenderness and joy to our family. I’m really glad the songs are alive! Now young children, who once grew up with my songs, drive their children to my performances, and only now do I realize how good music we have made for children, that it has been listened to for generations, ” is a overjoyed and grateful musician that children still adore.

FEEL OF FREEDOM

When he is not making music, Romana goes to the mountains or rides a bike. »I feel freedom and pleasure on the bike! I have cycled many beautiful routes and discovered the most beautiful corners of Slovenia. My dear Lojze is a real master at finding new destinations. We explore and also improvise like in music, ” says laughing. She also enjoys her freedom on trips, which are unfortunately very limited at the moment, but she remembers past exploits, such as the visit to San Francisco, with which Lojze killed her a few years ago on her fiftieth birthday. “It was unforgetable. We visited full of sights, jazz clubs, musicals and also friends. ”Or a pilgrimage to the Camin. “That Lojze and I were on the Camino footpath in Spain is an unforgettable experience for me! I can still feel and remember the details that were happening to me. I felt free, alive. ”

But of all things, he is most looking forward to family reunions. “These mean the most to me. To meet, celebrate, laugh and also sing. We are all gourmets and every picnic or lunch is also a delicious gourmet surplus, ” explains how he enjoys the company of his sons. Kristijana and Žiga , daughter-in-law and granddaughter . Romana is a proud and active grandmother. »Not to describe this love!
