SMITE Makes a Splash With Newest God: Bake Kujira

A Whale of a Time

A dreaded threat is rising from the seas. His great anger will engulf the Battleground of the Gods. Waves will crash, the sky darkens, the great Bake of vengeance has come. Today, Hi-Rez Studios announced the newest character coming to their free-to-play MOBA, Smite. A massive creature, known as Bake Kujira, the whale-like character is Smite’s newest guardian brings an inescapable curse to the Battleground while introducing a whole new form of auto-attacks. Of course, a new trailer shows off the great whale in all of his vengeful glory.

Smite

Smite’s newest god comes off the heels of the game’s second Voodoo God Maman Brigitte. Now, the Bake Kujira is making waves in the Guardian Role. Importantly, his unique auto attacks extend in a circle around him, sending tremors out and dealing damage to those who dare to come close. Additionally, his abilities serve to further empower his waves to crush his foes. His abilities can extend his auto attack range, send him rocketing into the enemy, and even launching a wave to slow and damage his foes. Yet, his ultimate ability is his most deadly. Bake Kujira will sing his lament distorting time itself, slowing enemies within and making their actions take place more slowly. Furthermore, the ultimate will increase the damage and range of his circular basic attacks, trapping enemies in a slowing pool of death.

Of course, players can get a look at Bake Kujira in Smite’s new gameplay trailer. Check out the whale in all of his rage below.

Currently Smite is available for free on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch.
