Marumo Gallants could still have another 10 games to play this season in their double-edged mission.
Marumo Gallants’ campaign could get even more draining as they seek to survive dropping from the PSL through aiming to lift the CAF Confederation Cup final.
It has been a taxing season for Marumo who have played their home matches in Polokwane, Soweto, Bloemfontein, and Rustenburg through travelling through the continent while also seeking to stay afloat in the PSL.

They have taken the long trips to North Africa four times and while their run on the continent has been amazing their safety in the PSL is not secure.
With only two games to play they are three points ahead of bottom placed Maritzburg United and only better than play-offs spot dwellers Chippa United on goal difference.
Marumo fought back to snatch a draw at Maritzburg leaving their interim coach Raymond Mdaka convinced they can survive.
“We knew that it would be a difficult game because we both wanted points.
“Anything else that might have happened is in the name of the game and we are happy about the point that we got.
“The two teams wanted points.
“They were fighting.
“We were fighting and I’m happy about the character of our boys as we twice had to come back.
“It is good character that our boys are showing, and this tells us that we can be able to survive the situation.
“We will always do a game at a go, and we cannot talk about then next game before we play the game that is closer to you and I think that will help us,” says Mdaka.
Marumo will sharpen up for the trip to Tanzania to face Young Africans in the first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup next Wednesday with a difficult home match against champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday evening.
The game against Sundowns could determine if they sink into the dangerous territory going into the last day of fixtures.
Should Marumo end up in the Play-Offs it will mean another four games and if they reach the Confederation Cup final, they will add another two leaving them with a total of 10 to play.
Marumo will close off the season away at Swallows on May 20 already aware of whether they will be playing in the Confederation Cup final against either USM Alger or ASEC Mimosas in the two-legged final scheduled for May 28 and June 3.
