REALITY TV star and fitness bunny Sbahle Mpisane is ready to open up about her life-changing accident.

Sbahle (29) is set to spill the beans about her horrific car accident and recovery when she returns for the second season of Kwa Mam’Mkhize, premiering on Showmax on Thursday, 14 December.

She was involved in a near-fatal car crash at Victoria Embankment in Durban in 2018. The reality show follows the life of Durban tycoon and socialite Shauwn “Mam’Mkhize” Mkhize and her children Sbahle, Andile Mpisane and Andile Mpisane’s wife, Tamia Mpisane.

Sbahle said people should watch the second season to see them in their real lives and see them as they are now.

“So much has changed, but one thing has stayed the same: the love we all have for each other. People should see how I have reclaimed my life after being in a wheelchair and having no hope, and how I can now walk on the catwalk again, which is an inspirational story for many,” Sbahle said.

She said she was praying for everyone going through a tough time at the moment to find it in themselves to be strong even when being strong is not easy.

“As someone who has been through a very dark time, I urge people to enjoy each day and appreciate the situation they’re in and get their minds right,” she said.

She said there’s never a dull moment with the family in season two and there’s always something going on.

“The biggest difference is that everyone has evolved so much since season one, from our mum getting divorced and getting her name back, to my brother being married and having kids. Me? I was in a wheelchair and now I’m standing tall. It’s a very heart-warming experience for me. I never thought I could be more welcoming until the arrival of our babies,” Sbahle said.

Sbahle said many people think she has a qualification in fitness, but that’s not the case.

“I’m just someone who likes to take care of myself, both internally and externally. Fitness is something I’m naturally drawn to. It was a hobby that became a source of income.

“Even after my accident, when I was depressed, I did not lose the love for myself and my fitness. Even when I was in a wheelchair, I took care of myself even though I was not happy because I didn’t want to look like my problems,” Sbahle said.
