Durban’s famous businessman Sbu Mpisane, who is backing Zuma after the IEC disqualified his party.

FAMOUS businessman Sbu Mpisane’s new political party, Gap Fixers of South Africa (GFSA) will support former president Jacob Zuma-led MK party in the upcoming elections on Wednesday, 29 May.

This is after his new party was disqualified by the IEC to contest the upcoming elections for failing to submit signatures on time.

Mpisane, who is currently in separation from his popular wife, who is also a popular businesswoman and reality TV star Shauwn “Mam’Mkhize” Mkhize, said they’ll be contesting in the next elections.

He said the decision to support Zuma was based on both parties’ common goals.

Mpisane, who is the chairman of GFSA, led by businessman Themba Buthelezi told Daily Sun they’ll ensure the party doesn’t disappear.

“Our party is registered with the IEC. The challenge was the submission of signatures, and it was not our fault. The IEC’s system had technical errors.

“After we support the MK party in these elections, our party will do community outreach, like donating basic foods to those in need. This will help keep the party’s name until the next polls,” he said.

Mpisane, who was also a well-known an ANC funder, said he won’t back to the governing party because they were doing nothing.

“It’s 30 years of democracy, and the ANC hasn’t delivered on its promises. Those who are leaving the ANC for other parties have realised that it has failed the people,” he said.

He said despite squabbles and controversies in the MK party, he’s hopeful solutions will be found.
