Former Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates striker Phumlani Mkhize believes no striker in South Africa can save the goalscoring problem his former clubs are experiencing at the moment.
Chiefs and neighbours Pirates currently find themselves in unfamiliar territory in the DStv Premiership table due to a lack of goals.
While the Amakhosi are in position 10, the Buccaneers sit in position 13.

Mkhize says even the sought-after striker Khanyisa Mayo is not better than what these two clubs already have in their squads.
“They need good finishers like the late Thabang Lebese, and Andries Sebola, strikers like Phumlani Mkhize,” He tells KickOff.
“In their current starting eleven both clubs don’t have a good target man.
“The last person to play that role very well at Kaizer Chiefs was Samir Nurkovic. You need people like Leonardo Castro.
“At Pirates yes Zakhele Lepasa can score goals, but he is not yet a complete package.
“You need players like Collins Mbesuma who play to score. And to be honest we don’t have those type of strikers in South Africa.
“The Pirates coach has not given Eva Nga a chance, he could have done the job.
“At Chiefs also, Caleb Bimenyimana was not given enough chance.
“So, I haven’t yet seen a striker who can save us from the mess we are in.
“Chiefs they must just give their new strikers enough chance, things will get better.
“Yes, Khanyisa Mayo can score goals for these clubs, but only if he gets the supply. He can help them but not the way a Chiefs type of striker or Pirates type of striker would. So, he will not be the answer for Chiefs.”
