Southampton thrash Brentford to move up to 11th place

The other scheduled match scheduled for today in the ‘Premier League’, Everton-Leicester, has been postponed again, due to an outbreak of covid-19 in Leicester.

At the St.Mary stadium in Southampton, it was the Polish Bednarek who opened the scoring in the fifth minute of the game, after which the German Vitaly Janelt re-launched the match, leveling at 23.

The goalkeeper Brentford’s Álvaro Fernandez scored his own goal in the 39th minute, reaching the break with the home team in front again.

In the second half, two more goals – for Albanian Armando Broja, at 49, and for Scotsman Che Adams, at 70.

Southampton is 11th in the table, with 24 points, and Brentford 13th, with 23.
