Spider-Man’s Watts Producing “Final Destination 6”

Spider Mans Watts Producing Final Destination 6
New Line Cinema

“Spider-Man: No Way Home” director Jon Watts has signed on to produce the sixth film in the “Final Destination” franchise for New Line Cinema.

Lori Evans Taylor (“Wicked Wicked Games) and Guy Busick (2022’s “Scream”) are writing the screenplay based on a treatment by Watts.

Running from 2000-2011, the five prior films follow groups of good looking young people who escape a horrible death, only to find themselves later dying one by one in increasingly elaborate accidents.

Watts’ wife and partner, Dianne McGunigle, is also producing along with Craig Perry and Sheila Hanahan Taylor. The film is expected to premiere exclusively on HBO Max.

Watts will only produce the film, not direct as his next helming assignment is likely the “Fantastic Four” reboot at Marvel Studios.
