Irish indie folk rockers Kodaline and London-origin pop band Bastille were set to headline the event in Mumbai and Bengaluru this November
A brand-new festival that was set to hit Mumbai and Bengaluru called the SPXCEJXM Festival (pronounced Spacejam) this November 4th and 5th, now stands postponed to April 2024.
The event’s lineup included international acts such as Irish indie folk rock band Kodaline and U.K. pop band Bastille, American act Moonchild and Canadian singer-songwriter Ali Gatie. Other artists on the bill were the likes of bands which included Blackstratblues, Parvaaz, When Chai Met Toast, singer-songwriters Prateek Kuhad, Mali, Raghav Meattle and Aditi Ramesh, hip-hoppers Enkore and Swadesi and more.
SPXCEJXM was announced as a two-day multi-genre festival in August, gaining a first mover advantage in terms of attention and ticket sales compared to mainstays such as Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Vh1 Supersonic (both in Pune) and Echoes of Earth in Bengaluru. The event was slated to place on the same November weekend as Mahindra Independence Rock and Bollywood Music Project in Mumbai.
In a statement, SPXCEJXM Music Festival said, “Due to circumstances out of our control, we regret to inform you that the festival has been postponed to April 2024. Please check your inbox for information on ticket refunds.”
