NEW DELHI: Shares of Gujarat Apollo, Transport Corp, Palash Securities, Shyam Metalics and Rane Eng Valve, hit their fresh 52-week highs at 10:19AM(IST)on NSE.
Benchmark NSE Nifty index rose 33.3 points to 24803.5 amid buying in frontline bluechip stocks.
However, stocks such as Saraswati Saree Depo, Mask Investments, ABM International, 3rd Rock MultiMedia and GIR Natureview, touched their fresh 52-week low.
Overall, 30 shares traded in the green in Nifty50 index, while 20 traded in the red.
In the Nifty 50 index, Grasim Inds., Tata Consumer, Bharti Airtel, Asian Paints and Infosys were among top gainers, while Dr. Reddys, Power Grid, NTPC, Cipla and Tata Motors traded in the red.
The BSE Sensex was trading 107.42 points up at 81012.72 at 10:19AM(IST).
Traders were seen piling up positions in Beverages – Alcoholic, Fertilisers, Telecommunications, Airlines and General sectors, while selling was visible in Irrigation & Allied Services, Rubber, Infrastructure, Gas & Petroleum and Electric/Electronics sectors.
