Strange bug is solved with an update of Xiaomi Mi 11 to MIUI 12.5.12

The release of MIUI 12.5 is proceeding normally, it seems, and now the Xiaomi Mi 11 is receiving an update with code 12.5.12. The update is 125MB in size and contains the August security patches – some companies are already releasing the October security patches.

In addition to the basics, the update fixes a strange bug that allows the mute icon to appear incorrectly in the volume panel. Recall that MIUI 12.5 aims to fix hundreds of bugs in Xiaomi’s ROM, not just on the Mi 11, but on several of its phones.

As always, the distribution starts in China, is Stable Beta or Beta and we expect it to be released in more markets in the coming weeks.
