Students mark return to classes with the University Beach Festival

Students from the eight universities that make life in La Guaira were deployed in a sports, environmental and educational day, as part of the “Back to School” Beach Festival.

The Catia La Mar spa was the place where the conference took place, “to call for compliance with biosafety, vaccinate against covid-19 and maintain educational spaces,” said Iris Aranguren, a member of La Guaira Students Federation.

During the beach festival, the university students held volleyball, kikimbol, dance, chess and domino competitions, as well as “a day of environmental sanitation of the beaches in a spa, we want to spread awareness, thanks to the support of Minister Juan Laya, “said Aranguren.

He said that they will deploy vaccination points against covid-19 in universities or main university villages, during the first week of school, to immunize about 8,000 students university tees, as part of the biosecurity plan announced by the national government.

He acknowledged the organization of the communities for this registry, which has allowed reaching places such as Barrio Aeropuerto, La Tunitas and San Remo.
