Fruit of a partnership between the Federal University of Goiás (UFG) and the Ministry of Health, the Educational Program in Digital Health aims to promote the qualification of health workers who use Information and Communication Technology in Health in their management and/or attention to users of the Unified Health System (SUS).
In 2017, the Digital Health Strategy for Brazil was defined by the Tripartite Commission of managers of the Unified Health System (SUS) as one of the strategies for the consistent improvement of health services in Brazil. This strategy involved providing and using quality information about the different procedures and spheres of the Brazilian health system – from electronic patient records to the hospital structure.
In order to collaborate with the implementation of this Strategy, the Ministry of Health signed an agreement with the UFG for the development of the Educational Program in Digital Health, whose main objective is to promote the qualification of the training of health professionals and managers for the implementation of the Digital Health Strategy for Brazil.
This educational action seeks to meet the need to raise awareness and prepare professionals and managers of the Brazilian health system for the implementation of Digital Health in Brazil, in particular for the use of the National Health Data Network (http://rnds.saude.gov.br/), based on the recognition of its principles, benefits, of trust and security for its use.
The training of SUS workers began with the offer of self-instructional microcourses, offered in the Distance Education (EAD) modality, available on the SUS Open University Platform (UNA-SUS) and that adopt the approach microlearning, namely:

3. Safety and ethics in sharing personal health data
