Suspected of pushing co-worker from building in Cacoal, wanted

A 34-year-old man, suspected of having attacked a co-worker and pushed him from a building, is being sought by the Civil Police. Artemison Maia Teixeira had preventive detention decreed by the Justice of Rondônia, and still has another open warrant, issued in Amapá.

According to the investigations, the suspect and the victim, Marco Antônio, were drinking late one afternoon when, arriving at the company’s dormitory, they began to argue on the second floor balcony. Witnesses said the victim was being provoked to climb onto the balcony and face the suspect in the crime. Marco Antônio was attacked with a piercing object in the neck and head, and possibly pushed from the balcony. The victim died after spending four days in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). According to the expert report, the cause of death was head trauma, caused by the violence of the blows to the head.

Also according to the police, the author of the crime had fled the scene and is at large. With Marco’s death, the court issued a preventive arrest warrant against the suspect, who already has another warrant open for theft in the state of Amapá.

The delegate responsible for the case, Érica Demarchi, believes that Artemison, also known as Pará, is still in the region and asks that if anyone has information, call 911 and report it.
