The Calgary Flames announced today that they have signed defenceman MacKenzie Weegar to an eight-year contract extension worth an AAV of $6,250,000.Weegar, a native of Ottawa, Ontario has spent six seasons with the Florida Panthers where he scored 27 goals and 94 assists for 121 points along with 259 penalty minutes in 306 career games.
