The Weather Forecast Center of the Cuban Institute of Meteorology (INSMET) reported this Friday on Twitter that values ​​below 15 degrees Celsius were recorded at 43 stations in the country and below 11 degrees Celsius during the early hours of the morning. at nine stations.

The lowest values ​​that were documented were 7.9 degrees Celsius in Bainoa; 8.4 degrees Celsius in Unión de Reyes; and 8.8 degrees Celsius in Indio Hatuey. The minimum temperatures were between 11 and 14 degrees Celsius.

In a note published today on the official INSMET site, it is specified that during much of the day there will be sun and some clouds, although in the The afternoon will be cloudy in some locations, with little rain.

The maximum temperatures will be between 26 and 29 degrees Celsius, in the west and center, while they will reach up to 32 degrees Celsius in the eastern region. At night temperatures will range between 18 and 21 degrees Celsius, lower in some inland areas.

The center also indicates that the winds will be weak variables and in the afternoon from the south in the western half and from the northeast the north coast of the eastern half, between 10 and 25 kilometers per hour, and there will be little waves on both eastern coasts and in the western north, in the rest of the coastlines the sea will be calm.

The meteorologist Miriam Teresita Llanes explained on the Cuban Television Newscast last night that winter conditions were maintained in much of the country and that today there would be a gradual increase in temperatures on the island, with isolated activities of showers and rains.

For the next three days, the arrival of a cold front to the west of the country with numerous showers and rains is forecast for this Sunday. Extreme temperatures will decrease and in the early morning the values ​​may range between 15 and 18 degrees Celsius, in areas of the interior of the western and central parts, Llanes pointed out.

Forecasts warn that the cold front will advance towards localities in the central and eastern regions.
