The psychological resilience of Teresa H. is really being tried by Pakistani courts. A Czech convicted of drug smuggling continues to wait in vain for an appeal.
She did not want to spend the fourth Christmas in a row in a Pakistani prison, but this vision is getting closer and closer to reality. The smuggler Tereza came across the court again. According to the information of the tn.cz server, the trial due to her appeal against the sentence was supposed to take place on Monday, October 4, but this did not happen. There was another postponement to October 18.
Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Eva Davidová told the server that it was not the Czech citizen’s turn. The lawyer is said to try to negotiate an earlier date. Teresa was detained at customs airport in Lahore in January 2018, when they found several kilograms of heroin in her suitcase. The court sent her to jail for more than eight years.
