BOLASPORT.COM – The new coach of the Thai national team Alexandre ‘Mano’ Polking wants to win title AFF Cup 2020.
Mano Polking appointed as head coach of national team Thailand
The German coach said he was happy to be appointed as the coach of the team nicknamed the War Elephant.
“I can’t describe in words what I’m feeling right now. I’m just happy, proud, excited, and confident,” said Mano Polking reported by BolaSport.com from Bangkok Post.

He has coached Thai clubs such as Bangkok United, Army United, and Suphanburi.
The man who was born in Brazil has also served as assistant coach of the Thai national team.
Recently he coached the Vietnamese club, Ho Chi Minh.
“Thailand is like my home and love the people and the culture since I arrived eight years ago,” said Mano Polking.
“Now I will do my best to justify the trust you place in me,” he said.
The 45-year-old coach is determined to bring back the AFF Cup title for the Thai national team.
“With the staff, the players, the board of directors [Asosiasi Sepak Bola Thailand] and especially the fans, I knew we could do it,” said Mano Polking.

Meanwhile in AFF Cup 2020, Thailand national team
are in Group A with Myanmar, Philippines , Singapore, and play-off winners Brunei Darussalam and Timor Leste.
AFF Cup 2020 will be held in Singapore from 5 December 2021 to 1 January 2022.
Last time the national team Thailand AFF Cup champion is in the 2016 edition.
They have collected five titles of the most prestigious tournament in Southeast Asia.
