Grigor Dimitrov will meet Facundo Bagnis from Argentina in his first match of the ATP 250 series tournament in Melbourne. The Bulgarian tennis player and his rival will appear on the court on Thursday (January 6th), and their match is from the second round
Dimitrov is third in the main draw and thus missed the first round.
Bagnis, 76th in the world, eliminates former №1 Andy Murray. He beat him after 6: 3, 5: 7, 6: 3 in 2.27 hours. The Argentine has never played with Dimitrov at the ATP level.
He is 31 years old and plays with his left hand. In his career, Bagnis has a negative single balance, and his highest place in the world rankings is 55th.
Meanwhile, Dimitrov played match in Melbourne in the doubles tournament. The Bulgarian and his partner David Goffen defeated Matve Middelkoop and Botik van de Zandshulp with 2: 6, 6: 3, 10: 6
