The dating coach's three best picking tips

Sweden

Today several of the country’s restrictions are released and singles can now move more easily into the dating jungle.

But do we remember how to pick up? What to think about?

Dating coach Jeanette Vinberg, 48, gives her best tips for creating a first contact.

Crowded restaurants, dance floors and other meeting places around Sweden can now become everyday again.

Great news for singles in the country. Many have been waiting a long time to get out and date, says dating coach Jeanette Vinberg.

– There has definitely been a great longing among them. Many singles have also felt sadness, despair and anxiety over their perceived loneliness.

But do we remember how to pick up and date, now that you get it? Say you go out to the pub and see someone interesting. How to get in touch with the person in the best way?

Jeanette gives answers.

Three picking tips

1. Find a common denominator

Try to find something in common that you can talk about. As humans, we like recognition factors and it makes us feel safe. For example, “How long is the queue here” or “What did you order? I ordered this. ”

2. Dare to keep eye contact

Be engaged with your eyes when talking to the person. In a comfortable way and feel the energy. Maybe your eye contact results in a common bowl?

3. Be forward and curious

If you have started a conversation, remember to be curious about the other person. Have an interest in who the person in front of you is rather than seeking confirmation.

In addition to the tips, Jeanette Vinberg also reminds us of the most important attitude before dating, regardless of whether it is at a bar or in another context.

– Start going inward to yourself and think about what needs you have and what you appreciate. But at the same time, you should be open and curious when you meet someone. Who is this person and how do you feel about her personality, character, basic values and vision going forward, she says and continues:

– A lot of focus today is about wanting to be accepted and affirmed . In addition, we have a lot of requirements that can be obstacles for us when we get to know a person. Instead, go in with the attitude that you want to find out who the person is before you thin out in advance.
