Ljubljana’s Olimpija has been going through a turbulent period lately after a shocking defeat by Radomlje, then the announcement of a change of owner and speculation about the dismissal of Sava Milosevic, but then a draw followed in the Slovenian “eternal derby” “against Maribor and the passions seemed to slowly subside.
The current national team break followed, during which Olimpija scheduled a friendly match against Rijeka away and it was believed that it would for the people of Ljubljana to be a pleasant trip to the coastal Croatian city.
However, when you look at the final result of that match, it would be better if Milosevic and his players did not even travel to this visit.
Namely, Rijeka celebrated with as much as 6: 1, which tonight in some Slovenian media is called the shameful defeat of Olimpija and “selling the reputation of the club”, regardless of the fact that Milošević could not count on the strongest team.
Josip Drmić was the triple scorer for Rijeka, along with Vučkić, Obregon and Mu. more expensive, and the only goal for Olympia was scored by Lamine Tal at the beginning of the second half when he reduced it to 2: 1.
