The last meeting of the BFU Executive Committee, at least in this form, will be held today. The management of Bulgarian football gathers at 2 pm to adopt the rules for holding the extraordinary congress, which is scheduled for October 12.
In reality, this meeting of the Executive Committee will be the last in this composition, regardless of who will win the presidential election. Even if it is Borislav Mihailov, there will probably be changes, and at least the current member and part of Dimitar Berbatov’s team, Petar Velichkov, will not be invited.
The executive committee must accept rules for holding the congress, which will be proposed to the General Assembly of the headquarters, but in reality may not be or changed by the delegates.

The big question is whether the rules under which the election will take place, will be the same as they were in 2018.
Dimitar Berbatov’s team has already wrapped up what they think the rules should be in order for the choice to be fair. They demanded that a quorum vote be observed in accordance with the secrecy of the water, that an integral ballot be voted on, that congressional delegates not be able to give credentials to third parties, and that presidential candidates be admitted to the congress hall. They also want the congress to be broadcast live following the example of FIFA and UEFA, as well as the presence of representatives of the two international organizations to monitor the process. In addition, the presence of accredited media was requested to cover the event.
After the meeting, the BFU is expected to announce all the rules for holding the congress, which it will propose to the delegates in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture on October 12.
