Golden Nut is a competition designed for clever, active and successful children from 6 to 14 years. It has no categories, it is open across disciplines. He awards children for their success in competitions or competitions, but also for interesting ecological and other beneficial projects.
annually it will present 21 nominated children and children’s groups. The 7 winners selected from them will share the prize in the amount of CZK 140,000.
In addition to the competing children, the patrons of the competition, ie the successful and inspirational personalities from various fields. This year, Pavel Šporcl, Jakub Vágner and Alexander Choupenitch promised their participation and support.
“We want children to know that their efforts and work make sense. That is why we create a project that not only seeks out, promotes and rewards talented and purposeful children, but above all motivates them to overcome difficulties and pursue more and more daring personal challenges, “said the main organizer of the competition Jiří Kotmel from the Golden Nut Foundation.
In the 23 years of its operation, over 2,500 competitors have signed up for the Golden Nut project. Almost 600 of them were shortlisted. In the past, the winners of the Golden Nut Award included chess player David Navara, motorcycle racer Filip Salač, figure skater Anna Dušková, molecular biologist Marek Mráz and children’s choir Boni Pueri
aims not only to reward talented children who can present their abilities well, but also to motivate those who have not yet found the courage to do so. “With the determination and success of the Golden Nut children, who can follow their dreams, we motivate less daring children to further their development,” said Simona Šedá, director of the Golden Nut Foundation.
The deadline for entries for the 23rd year of the competition is 15 October. Potential competitors can register on the Golden Nut website with their parents or legal guardians, and in the case of children’s groups, teachers or coaches.
