The Government extended the National Budget for this year in $ 6,500 million destined to the Ministry of Social Development, to attend social policies , through administrative decision 948/2021 published in the Official Gazette.

The extra item comes from the National Treasury, and will be allocated to food policies, $ 1,100 million; to the Territorial Approach program, of transfers to provinces and municipalities, $ 5.250 million; and other expenses, $ 150 million.

The decision of this extension is framed in the battery of economic and social measures that the Government began to take in recent days aimed at improving the situation of different sectors of the society, from the most vulnerable to small and medium-sized enterprises, through agricultural producers and retirees.

“It is necessary to expand the current budget of the Ministry of Social Development to meet expenses inherent to various actions carried out”, within the framework of the aforementioned programs.
