West Ham have held talks with Flamengo to attract the team’s top scorer Gabriel Barbosa, known as Gabigol, reports “Sky Sports”.
The Hammers are looking for another option for their attack, after they are too dependent on Mikhail Antonio and are considering different options.
There is serious interest in Barbosa from other teams from the English elite, as so far the player has 104 goals in 147 games for Flamengo and is definitely a serious scorer.
He is said to be very impressed with the work of David Moyes at the helm of the Hammers, who are again contenders for a place in the Top 4.
He would also like to play in England to be Brazil’s titular striker for the World Cup in Qatar. So far he has 5 hits in 18 appearances for the national team.
