Episode 4 Preview & Speculation
Even after six years of timeskip, Biwa looked like she had barely aged, while Koremori, Sukemori, and Kiyotsune grew a lot older. This makes me wonder if it’s a result of Biwa’s power of foresight.
Tokuko being trapped in a loveless situation was heartbreaking to see. Moreover, everyone looked at her with pity because she couldn’t conceive.
Considering Shigemori has already announced the fight against his father, the next episode will most probably be a war episode.
Nevertheless, the following episode is going to be even more exciting, and we look forward to seeing how the plot will move further from here.

Episode 3 Recap
After six years of timeskip, we see Shigemori’s son all grown up, but surprisingly Biwa still looks the same.
After traveling in the ocean, they finally get a glimpse of Itsukushima Shrine. They get off the ship and head to the palace, which is where Tokuko lives.
Koremori gives a beautiful performance at the prayer ceremony where Shigemori and his brothers have gathered to pray for their sister, Tokuko, to bear a child soon. That’s how Biwa gets to know that Tokuko is still alive.
Later, Biwa meets Lord Miyomori, Shigemori’s half-brother, and starts disliking him for his comment towards Tokuko. Koremori tells her that their father’s presence might bother Munemori since he is entrusted both by their uncle and Emperor Go-Shirakawa.
As Biwa meets Tokuko, she is relieved to see her doing fine. Sukemori and Biwa accompany her to her palace, where she lives with her husband, Emperor Takakura.
The emperor leaves the palace, and showing concern, Sukemori asks Tokuko if she is okay knowing Emperor Takakura is going to see his concubine, Lady Kogo. Tokuko reveals that she is aware of it and wants her husband’s heart to be comforted, no matter where.
Later that day, Shigemori learns that Tokuko came earlier to visit him, but he had to go to Enryakuji.
A few days ago, Lord Morotsune of Fujiwara visited the shrine in Enryakuji and demanded to use the bath. When the monks of the shrine refused, he set the temple on fire.
The monks demanded punishment for Lord Morotsune, whose father serves Emperor Go-Shirakawa, and headed to the palace to take their petition to court. Shigemori was summoned to guard the palace.
Shigemori instructed his soldiers not to attack the monks, but things got out of control, and a lot of monks died. Eventually, everyone in the royal court demands the beheading of Heike’s clan. Shigemori gets to know about Shunkan and Saiko’s arrest as they had plotted a conspiracy against their clan.
Shigemori commands his sons to assemble all those who trust him as a great crisis has arisen. Despite being asked not to involve herself, Biwa insists on going along with Shigemori to the court, fearing that he will be murdered.
Shigemori asks his father to cease his plan of seizing Emperor Go-Shirakawa, but his father refuses to listen to him.
In the end, Shigemori announces that he will fulfill his duty to the emperor and do whatever he can to stop him, even if that means attacking him.
