Apple surprised everyone last year with the debut of iPad Pro tablets coming with M1 CPUs. They also got straight edges, narrow edges around the display and 5G connectivity in 2021. Mark Gurman now says that future models will receive generously sized Apple logos on the back, even made of glass. Why? Find out below.
At the end of 2021, Gurman said that the new generation iPad Pro will arrive with wireless charging . That would be the reason behind choosing a larger Apple logo made of glass. Thus, the company would not give up aluminum construction for its future models. However, it is rumored that Apple has also internally tested iPad Pro prototypes with panels made entirely of glass.
Although such a design would allow the integration of wireless charging, the durability of the tablet would have to suffer. According to Mac Rumors , the company is internally testing these prototypes with Apple logos made of glass now. Thus, the iPad Pro would receive MagSafe support, and the magnets used here would be very strong. It is also rumored that the new series of tablets would receive a faster wireless charging than the iPhone.
These prototypes are being tested internally by the company, but this does not guarantee that we will receive such models in 2022. However, it is rumored that the new iPad Pro will receive a new design that will allows wireless power integration. It is not yet clear when the new lineup could start at the moment.
