The journey of Doordarshan is 32 years old in Haryana
The construction of Doordarshan Kendra on behalf of Prasar Bharati in Delhi in the 1965s it was done. Until then the era of satellites had not emerged. Analog technology was used to send channel signals to people’s homes. In this technique, channel waves from a center are released into the atmosphere. After that, people used to put antennas on the roof of their homes to catch these waves, which reached the television box. If the range could not reach from the Delhi center to the remote areas, then people used to try and rotate the antenna in search of the signal. For this reason, local relay centers were built in the year 2000 at Rewari, Hisar, Kurukshetra. The signal coming from Delhi at these centers was boosted and released in the nearby area, so that people could get better quality. Till the year 2004, DD National and DD Metro used to be the favorite channels of the people running through the antenna. With the advent of the satellite era, the antenna gradually disappeared. Now the antenna was visible only on nominal houses, which will no longer be visible at all.
