The much-anticipated upgrade: Intel launches improved heatsinks for its processors

Between the various refinements and launches – the American chipmaker finds time to also upgrade the heat sinks you will receive when purchasing processors Economical Box Packages

Now that it has launched Core 12th generation processors with a heat envelope of only 65W, also upgrades the heat sinks you will receive in case you purchase the processors that come in the special packaging (symbol BOX).

According to what the number of leaks has told us so far – now is making it official. The new Intel with a 65W heat envelope (meaning mostly not those with a K extension) will land on store shelves when they arrive with fixtures New.

Processors

Core i9 are expected to arrive in a larger package and include which meets the name Laminar RH1.

This cooling comes with a relatively advanced docking system and not what the industry knows as “push pines”. The heatsink itself is high for the processor and includes a fan and also RGB controlled bulbs. It will come with a three year warranty, just like the processor that comes in the package with it. Body It is made entirely of metal.

The Laminar RS1 is already reminiscent of the traditional cooling of in packaging. This cooler will come with a push pin for docking to the motherboard. The heatsink consists of a metal body with a copper core, a quieter and more effective new fan than we have seen so far, and a plastic wrap that directs the air to the various motherboard areas like the voltage stabilizers. This cooling is expected to come with the basic Pentium Gold and Celeron processors. A similar version of it called Laminar RM1 is expected to come with the i3, i5 and – i7 standard.

We do not expect the new default coolers of will make a revolution in the cooling capabilities, and now there is no need to access and purchase more serious But any improvement in this area is welcome when we have seen stagnation of many years here. If you want to buy a new processor with these heat sinks – we recommend checking with the store and making sure that the version of the processor you are purchasing contains them, as not every package is likely to contain heat sinks
