According to those published in the Hungarian Gazette, the price stop announced by Prime Minister Viktor Orbán for six products will be valid from 1 February 2022 to 1 May 2022.
The Regulation specifies the officially priced products which are
- granulated sugar (white sugar),
- wheat flour BL 55,
- refined sunflower cooking oil,
- domestic swine (including bones, hides and skins, fillets, cut, sliced or kibbled, whether or not in prepackages, fresh, chilled or frozen)
- Chicken breasts, chicken drumsticks, loins, rumps and wing-ends (including bone-in, skinny, filleted, cut , in sliced or ground form, whether or not put up as a prepackage, fresh, chilled e, frozen),
- cow’s milk with an ultra-high temperature of 2.8% fat by weight
Gross commercial activity in the shop or shopping center for the product in question and gross retail price by a trader selling daily consumer goods under the Trade Act
2021.
Provided that the gross retail selling price on 15 October 2021 does not exceed the gross retail selling price. available, the last gross retail selling price applied by the trader before 15 October 2021 shall apply. The general consumer protection authority designated by the Government Decree on the Designation of the Consumer Protection Authority in Public Administration Matters in the Administration of the Price Act
If the authority becomes aware of a breach of its obligations under the Regulation during its inspection
Imposes a fine of HUF 50,000 to HUF 3,000,000,
