Voting will continue until January 14 on the website of the EcoCommunity Foundation, in the section “Tree with a root”. There, everyone can view the stories and photos of the finalists and support their chosen one. One tree can be voted for in each of the two categories – by filling in the e-mail and subsequently confirming the vote.
From tomorrow, January 8, the number of votes collected will be hidden to keep the winners of both categories secret until their official announcement at the awards ceremony. It will take place at the end of the month and the results of the vote will be announced.
Experts will inspect the winning tree in the main category and make recommendations for necessary care. . It will represent our country in the international competition “European Tree of the Year” in February. It will include a total of 16 countries with their national winners, including a new entrant, Latvia.
